The Arizona Civil War Council (ACWC) is the oldest, continually serving reenactment group in the state of Arizona. It was formed in 1983 and incorporated in 1986 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit educational organization.
We love to teach history, in classrooms, at reenactment events, and at multiple events across the country. Members of the ACWC participate in several events throughout the year including reenactments, living history displays, parades, school lectures, cultural events, state park demonstrations, and have served as extras in movies and television shows.

Our group focuses primarily on 19th century American reenactments and demonstrations including the Civil War, Indian Wars, Revolutionary War, and the Spanish-American War.
The majority of our membership consists of infantry and civilians, but a few individuals participate as mounted cavalry or artillery. We have participated in events across the nation, including California, Nevada, New Mexico, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Canada as well as the Royal Tournament in London, England.
While we may go from California to Canada to England, our primary focus for living history events remains in Arizona.
