Third annual ACWC Liveshoot at Ben Avery in North Phoenix. We do need a least 10 paying shooters @ $10 per shooter to pay for the range. We will also have our monthly ACWC meeting at this time, too. If you come for the meeting only, you need not pay the $10. You are limited to weapons (original and replica) before the early 1900’s. No full
metal jacket ammo. We will have a supply of Minnie Balls and 44- We will again play the infamous “Hand of Death” game and will have other games or awards. We will have our ACWC meeting at 1:30 pm at the Ben Avery range. ACWC members only. |

The Live Fire site is NW of Seeley CA which is due west of El Centro CA. Take I- Go North to Evan Hewes Hwy Turn West and go about 2 miles to Huff Rd. Turn north and go 6.5 Miles to Wheeler Rd Turn West and you will see the site off to the right. There should be a large round circle drawn on the mountain that is our 600 yd target. There will be a 10 pd Confederate Rifled Parrott and a 6 pound smooth bore. We will be Confederates, "Moody's Battery" If you go to the "Live Fire" you can man one of the canons at the Yuma event on Jan

This is an hour and one half concert of the Music, Poems and Speeches of the Civil War. It will be held at the Fountain Hills Community Center Grand Ballroom . Every year there are large audiences for the Christmas and Spring Concerts and this year there will be something special while we are still in the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. The scope of the concert will cover the decade from 1855 to 1865 with performances of music, poetry, diaries, speeches and personal correspondence from this critical period of American history. The concert will be a one hour to ninety minutes in length. The story portion of the concert will be performed by members of the Community Theater and selected community leaders. The music by the performing arts groups named above. |
